What’s new in version 10

Fully re-engineered, debugged with multiple new features added

Version 10 represents a significant redesign of all prior versions. This update includes enhancements such as HD and UHD video recording, scheduling for streaming movies or Internet radio, audio recording, Background mode, integration with Google Chrome Canary, game recording enhancements, and the ability to record from a second monitor. Additionally, the User Interface has been upgraded. A notable new feature in Version 10 is layered recording, which adds a unique capability to the software.

Video/Audio rerouting – layered video (new)
On Windows 11 and 10, WM Capture can now record a video/audio while simultaneously playing another video/audio on your computer screen and speakers (layered video/audio recording). See more about this in the User Guide.

WMC Game – video game recording helper (new)
WMC Game works in conjunction with the Windows Game Bar app, providing various improvements for capturing video games. With WMC Game and the Game Bar, users can record not just games but also movies and videos from their computer screens. This feature is available with WM Capture version 10.7 or later.

Improved scheduler (new)
Improved scheduling capabilities for recording from all major platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, and streaming services like Pluto TV, Tubi, and more. New functionalities include the ability to simulate mouse clicks needed to access video/audio streams. You can now set up daily web radio recordings or arrange multiple movie recordings consecutively.

Improved audio recording (new)
Any audio device, whether internal or external, can now be recorded. An audio resampling feature has been introduced to accommodate Bluetooth, USB, and wireless audio sources that have sample rates differing from the default settings in Windows. The Dual Audio feature has also been revamped, allowing you to record video webinars, meetings, or classes on a second monitor while adding your voice comments without being tied to your computer.

Picture in Picture - PIP (new)
This new functionality enables users to view and record videos or movies in a compact, adjustable window while utilizing the computer screen for other tasks.

Background mode redesign

Version 10 resolves several of the previous issues, such as the problem with hidden videos that do not react to clicks on the Show button.

Improved video/audio converter (new)
New conversion formats such as MKV and Webm have been introduced. Furthermore, WM Converter is now capable of compressing the audio tracks of your recordings.

Movie recording settings updates (new)

Movie websites, particularly those that offer streaming services, frequently revise or alter their broadcasting regulations, especially regarding their user interface. We will keep you informed about all these modifications.
